We wanted to send out a mass update on the current situation at the barn. As you can imagine, the two winter storms (the past one and the current storm) have had a tremendous impact on our property. We have been putting in 8-plus hour days doing snow removal just to maintain functionality. This does NOT include any snow removal and grooming in our riding arena.
Normally, we contract with Snowline Alaska to do our arena maintenance during the winter. However, due to the size of this storm and the one currently happening, they have not been able to get to us. Our arena remains full of snow and riding cannot take place in its current condition.
We have contacted you if you have had a riding lesson scheduled last week or today, Monday. We will likely reach out to people scheduled for the remainder of the week to cancel those lessons as well. We do apologize but these huge storms have overwhelmed our normal ability to maintain normal conditions.
Our lesson calendar is still available but we honestly recommend waiting to book further lessons in the very near term future. We will keep you updated as conditions change at the barn.
